Miele Benchtop Coffee Machine CM6360
Purchased CM6360 from Miele for approximately $2,000. Made some test coffees & then the machine asked whether we wanted to update software (Yes or No) stupidly we pressed yes (big mistake!) and the machine went into 'Clean milk pipework again' mode and the only thing it would do after that was to turn off or if we pressed OK it would perform a 10 minute pipe cleaning session - we just went along with pressing OK each time for about 8 attempts in case it just needed to course through several/many pipe cleaning sessions to get it to go back to normal programming. Contacted Miele Australia & let them know it was only 1 day old & now inoperable after the software update. Made a service booking (reluctantly as I thought it should be replaced as faulty) - next available service technician a month away. Contacted 3 separate Miele authorised service companies - first one never contacted me, second one finally contacted me to say they don't service coffee machines & currently waiting for 3rd one to contact me. Have been on the phone today for 3 hours trying to sort this out. Extremely disappointed in Miele Australia's after sales service. We apparently have to either wait for a month for someone to service the machine or spend half a day driving to Miele Eastern Creek to have the machine's software updated or whatever is required with no guarantee that when we get to Eastern Creek that we will have any success. Miele customer support officers are all lovely, but clearly trained in fending off any unhappy customers (and I was pleasant, but clearly frustrated). We have been customers of Miele for at least 30 years and can't possibly recommend anyone to Miele any longer - fabulous products, but only when they function properly.
